The increasing annual growth in the number of secondary school students has led to an increase in demand for higher education institutions in Sudan. Technological developments around the world have also forced Sudan's higher education administration system to encourage private sector investment in higher education and establish more colleges and programs that contribute to creating opportunities for qualified students, thereby training human resources capable of meeting the requirements of the country's productive and service sectors. Based on the above, the idea of establishing Ta Nob College of Medical Sciences and Technology in Dongola came about with the aim of contributing to the provision of programs that are up-to-date, distinguished, and advanced in the specializations they offer and that meet the needs of society in these specializations. Grand Tasity Multi-Activities Company Limited, established in 2022, has among its main objective’s investment in higher education. Its general assembly decided to establish Ta Nob College of Medical Sciences and Technology, with the first phase focusing on medical and health programs, computer science, and administrative sciences, and a strategic plan for development by adding new fields in medical and health sciences, engineering, languages and translation, law, mining, tourism and archaeology, agricultural technology, manufacturing technologies, and other sciences. The National Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research, in its meeting No. (126) for the year 2023, held on April 9, 2023, the final approval for Ta Nob College of Medical Sciences and Technology to offer a number of programs, such as a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, a Bachelor of Honors in Medical Laboratories, and a Bachelor of Honors in Information Technology
